John, I think you'll need to use a little more forceful language to ensure he remembers it in the future. :P

I hope you continue to have a fab birthday week!

Nah, considering I worked all day yesterday, and just got home about an hour ago from working all day today, I'll direct my wrath at my employers.

I'm white collar, damnit!!! I'm not supposed to work weekends!!!

Robin, that only worked for you, my dear. :)

My secret is Reunion.com. If you registered your birthday with them, I get a notification that month and on the day of.

I was a day late because Melissa and I spent the day in Baton Rouge at the annual LSU v. Alabama football game. We haven't missed one since we've known one another (18 years now); it's one of the only traditions we have and we stick to it (obviously).

2 questions:

Are you keeping a running total of wins/losses from the last 18 years?

And when Alabama loses like they did yesterday, does that mean you're in the doghouse for the rest of the night?

Used to. We're a bit more mature now. Used to be she wouldn't talk to me, but LSU didn't win as much in the beginning. First game we went to, Dennis went up to Tuscaloosa with me. Melissa got us tickets in the student section. There Dennis and I were, in our LSU sweatshirts, in the Bama student section. The highlight was watching the students in pre-game use LSUs band as ducks in a shooting gallery with a Nerf football and someone on the field helping them (the students) out by throwing the ball back into the stands. LSU got their a***s handed to them that day, but I had the nerve to cheer when they did something right (which didn't happen much, believe me). She wouldn't speak to me for most of the game and for hours thereafter. We all went out after the game and she would walk away from me if I got near her. After about 3 hours, she told me what was wrong and apologized. She once popped me in the back of the head for saying "Geaux Tigers" to a kid in LSU gear after a Bama loss. Stormed off and met me back at the car at another.

Bama used to win most of the them, but LSUs catching up lately. This was LSUs 4 straight win and 5th out of the last 6. She spoke to me throughout the game Saturday and after. She must be getting used to losing.

Getting cocky are we????

Must admit, she was VERY civil to me Saturday when I called to talk football. Not normal LSU/Bama mode.
